Black Eyed Bulbul - Pycnonotus barbatus

The Black Eyed Bulbul (Pycnonotus barbatus) is a common bird in Southern Africa, but is one of my favorites as they are full of character. The Afrikaans name of "bottergat" meaning "butter bum" has to be more descriptive than the english version!
