Question by : my GoPro HD is very choppy?

Hey so my new GoPro HD Helmet HERO that i got on the 19th is having problems with its playback on my computer. When i play it, the video starts for a second then freezes for 3, but the sound still goes on but the video doesnt. I’m wondering if its a setting that my camera is on, or is my SD card isnt fast enough for the camera

Any help please?

Since you did not tell us anything about the computer, it is difficult to know for sure. But the symptom you report is typical of an underpowered computer trying to playback high definition video.

 

If “SD card isnt fast enough for the camera” then recording in the camera would not work. What you typed told me that you are taking the memory card out of the camera and putting it in the computer.

 

It *could* be the CPU, RAM (not enough – or not enough available because it it working on something else), contiguous hard drive space is a problem and the computer’s hard drive needs to be defragmented… a few others, but these are the common issues.
