Fade

It starts out slow, only creeping in through the corners. You barely notice it. You try to hide it.

But then it advances on you, and before you know it, it's creeping over your feet, slowly but surely consuming you in what most call darkness.

Everything around you fades.

There's nobody.

You're all alone with your thoughts to keep you company.

Your ugliest company.
