Westminster gas lamps

Westminster stirred up some controversy recently when they announced a plan to replace all the historic gas lamps they own with electric lamps. In the face of criticism they have backed down regarding some of them - but by no means all.

This one is outside St James's Palace. As far as I know it's owned by the Crown and not the council and thus is not threatened.
