spread more love than hate
Shared for this weeks Crazy Tuesday theme: Complimentary colours.
A simple photo but yet it is what the colours represent that are important here: the red heart represents love while the green background represents Islamophobia. ❤️💚
Last week a tragedy took place in my community of London, Ontario (Canada). A 20 year old man, motivated by hate, drove his pick up truck into a Muslim family while they stood at a street corner waiting for the light to change while they were out for a family walk. The grandmother, mother, father and 15 yr old teenage daughter were all killed while the 9 year old son survived the attack. The man that did this has been charged with many things, including terrorism and he belongs in jail.
The London community (and many others across our nation) is showing solidarity with the Muslim community here and are equally saddened and angry at the tragic loss of the Afzaal family.
This saddens me and angers me at the same time. It shouldn't have happened. We need to be accepting of others no matter what their race or religion is. If you have questions about other religions, then educate yourself...ask questions and learn about it. You just might find something interesting. Don't be fearful of others or hate them because they look different and dress differently than you do, or they don't share the same religious beliefs as you. We are all different in certain ways but we are all equal!! ❤️
Thank you for your visit and support. Happy Crazy Tuesday to all!
