? Gull -17

I think this is a nearly mature Herring Gull (Larus argentatus). White, gray, and black parts match, as do the pink feet shown in photo number 21. What's anomalous in each of these shots is the rather transparent pink eye.

 

I'd be most grateful to anyone who can offer additional info an a HERG with such an eyel.... Thanks in advance!
