Mock-up of the Leonardo AW09. This helicopter was conceived as the Marenco SwissHelicopter SKYe SH09.
In 2018 Marenco was rebranded as Kopter and the model name was simplified to the Kopter SH09. Leonardo acquired Kopter in April-2020 and a further rebranding took place - this time the model being renamed the Leonardo AW09. Development is on-going and certification remains pending.
