Sheep Pasture top, Cromford and High Peak Railway, dating from 1830 when the line first opened. The stationary steam engine was used to haul up and control the descent of wagons on the 1 in 8/1 in 9, 1,320-yard Sheep pasture incline. wagons were worked in this way until closure in 1967.
