A walk in Cologne visiting its twelve large romanic churches ("Colonia Romanica") and other points of interest.

 

Construction of the Cologne Cathedral began in 1248 but it wasn't finished before 1880.

Still the largest gothic church in the world, the towers stand 157.22m/516ft tall, the cathedral is 144.50m/474.1ft long.

 

UNESCO World Heritage site since 1996 (ref. 0292).
