Combat of The Côa, Portugal 1810
The most difficult part of this build was that angle on the bridge. The actual bridge over the Côa is still there, and has this 30˚ angle over the river that made for quite a challenge. It really wasn't a problem where the angled bridge elements joined back into the left half of the model, but creating the angle itself over the river was a challenge as there's little depth to the bridge at that point. I used hinge plates in a 3-series row supported with tiles to provide some strength to the build. As I had to move this to Brickfair Virginia at the Dulles Expo, and I had to put minifigs on it, there had to be some real support to this area. It all worked out though, no breaks after I got it all together!
