One On The Rocks :: Fashion Items and Accessories :: Photoshoot In Sabino Canyon During The Summer Monsoon Season
My fashion statement, Lol ;)))
Fashion Items and Accessories: "Madras Shirt" "Plaid Shirt" "Argyle Socks" "Plaid Socks" "Sperry Topsider Shoes" "Pinky and The Brain Cap" Cane "Moses Walking Stick" "Black shoulder case for water bottle, small point and shoot camera, and spare batteries"
We took the Sabino Canyon Shuttle to the top of the paved trail and walked down to this pool. It's the summer monsoon season and the river, creek or brook is flowing and the white water and falls are invigorating!!
I have been diligently and steadfastly walking on the treadmill in my Carondelet Rehab. I have been setting the speed and elevation of the treadmill to simulate the climb up Tucson's Tumamoc Hill. Tumamoc has an elevation gain of 700 feet and is 1.5 miles long, one way.
This Sabino Canyon trail is a lot longer and higher, but not as steep as the trail on Tumamoc.
Both places have lots of diverse flora and fauna. The trail in Sabino Canyon does not go high enough to get above the tree line. We are still in Saguaro Cactus country.
Sabino's trail follows a riparian way and crosses a numberof bridges across the rushing and still waters. Cottonwood trees do grow along the river course.
The road that we drove up last Sunday on Mount Lemmon does get into pine and aspen forests above the tree line. It's called a Sky Island....
See my recent photos in Summerhaven on Mount Lemmon.
