Close Encounters of the Heavenly Kind... Fog Lovingly Embraces Colorful Mountain Peaks
While wandering by car in the foothills to shoot the storm as it descended on the mountains, I came across this lovely scene that pleases me and moves me deeply... Reminiscing, and once again warming to such sensitive beauty...
The clouds were heavily laden with water that became fog and then snow as they descended and nestled onto and between the mountains and even down into the valley...
The title which was a take-off of the movie Close Encounters and also ET does not really apply, since that kind of encounter supposes contact with extraterrestrials.
Fog, however surreal, is quite terrestrial...;))
