Closeup Of Roadrunner Up A Tree

Closeup of a Roadrunner high up in a tree near a tall Saguaro cactus in Sabino Canyon. Ned Harris, who leads these Nature Walks, had just said that these birds don't fly, but sometimes they go up into trees and soar down. A little bit later, while I was looking at something else that Ann Green had pointed out, Ned called for us to come see and photograph this intrepid bird in a tree. Right on cue....;))
