World Environment Day: "Green Relay"

Today World Environment Day is celebrated all over the world to raise awareness for environmental issues and to strive for a clean environment. On this occasion, the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Tirana participated in the Green Relay by cycling through Tirana, handing over a Green Flag from Embassy to Embassy. .
The cyclists started at the United States Embassy, continued to the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands and afterwards passed by the Czech, French and Spanish Embassies. The Relay finished at the Ministry of Environment where the Green Flag was handed over to Minister Fatmir Mediu and Deputy Minister Taulant Bino. The Netherlands is known worldwide for its strong environmental policies as well as for promoting cycling. The Green Relay was organized by EcoVolis
