Alisia was so happy we ventured out during the first part of this week to see the Artesanias she & so many other vendors had made. She was showing us how she weaves these pieces, told us how she & the two girls who work for her made so many of the woven & embroidered pieces by hand. She was generous of spirit & enlightened us as to her skills. I'm in awe of her type of talent & skills. She is the true Mexico. What a joy to meet her. She made sure she pulled her face mask off for the photo. (the awful mask the entire country is wearing because of the swine flu pandimic!) She will be here most of May selling her Arte Popular in Northern Mexico. I hope the slow start to the show picks up after the Influenza scare is past. The vendors traveled a great distance & worked hard towards this show.
