Marvel Mystery Oil
These are scans
of some older work
4x5 B&W
from a series I called
Left Behind
(Waaaaaaaaaay before
Tim Lahideyhideyho got
his groove on with bestsellers)
It was an exercise/experiment
Please let me know what
you think, especially the quality
or lack thereof of the scans
Our first house had a garage
to end all garages. Well, okey
not as big as a barn, but....
Many of the lots in that neighborhood
had small~tiny second houses
built on them so the owners could
make additional revenue. The folks
that built this one had poor timing or
were too ambitious because as they
were building this brick monolith the
code changed - the structure was too
big for the lot to be acceptable as a
"dwelling unit". So it became a garage.
The second owner used it as a body shop
and had a hydraulic lift installed. That was
a strong reason for my interest in it. He
also left behind all manner of odd and ends
including the can of carbon rods and
Marvel Mystery Oil you see here.
