San Antonio, Texas

Mission de Espada is one of the missions on The Mission Trail Nartional Park in San Antonio, Texas. It was established in 1731 after being relocated from east Texas. It was previously established in 1690.San Antonio Missions Trail is five missions connected by the San Antonio River. The trail is The San Antonio Missions National Historic Park. The trail is about 15 miles long with about 2 1/2 miles between each mission. They are connected by jogging, bike, and hiking trails. There is also a dedicated bus route Mission Concepcion is just one of the five missions. It was completed in 1731 and is a U.S. National Historic Landmark as are the other missions located on the trail. The Mission Alamo is also on this trail. The missions on this trail are a UNESCO World Heritage Sites. The five missions on the trail are Mission Concepcion, San Antonio de Valero ((Alamo), San Jose, San Francisco de la Espada, and San Juan.
