Duvall Main Street

by Pomegranate Center

For the past several years, Pomegranate Center has worked with the local government, artists, and community members of Duvall, WA, as they re-imagined and re-constructed their major downtown corridor. Inspired by the nearby Snoqualmie River and guided by images from the region's past, the artists carved wooden "banners," painted murals, designed a bus shelter, and created new signage. The result is a beautiful new Main Street where art works seamlessly integrate into the streetscape and reflect the unique spirit of Duvall as they draw on the past and look to the future.

On July 29, 2009, community members, artists, elected officials, and members of the local tribes braved the record-breaking heat to celebrate the completion of this wonderful project and the culmination of all their hard work. Congrats, Duvall!
