House Sparrow. July 2019

House Sparrow (Passer Domesticus)

Perhaps the most common bird in the UK, certain is to my garden, along with other types of sparrows. Great little birds, full of character, always flitting about in groups or alone. I've seen em' be very protective come feeding time and often attack each other letting each other know in no uncertain terms, who is the more dominant. Males sport a grey cap and black bib, the size of which indicates their status. I've watched n filmed them, to the untrained eye, its looks almost nothing when they shunt each other about, but in slow motion, each is a full on attack! Feisty little buggers! Fun too!
