Snyder watch
The sun shined on the last remaining steam powered towboat, 'WP Snyder Jr.', breezily moving down the Ohio River by two diesel towboats with barges on her way to South Point for a hull replacement. The 91-year old vessel will be away from its home port of Marietta for eight months. Donated to the Ohio Historical Society, when diesel powered towboats put steam powered towboats out of business, Marietta has been the Snyder's home since 1955.
