Inktober 2022 Day 16: The Sargasso Sea

Abnormal things are happening

Out in the briny deep

From under rocks and muddy depths

Strange creatures start to creep

 

Things you’ve never seen before

Of which you could not dream

And things that if you ever saw

Would certain make you scream

 

There’s every shape and size and hue

With eyes and teeth and fins

And every one is quite unique

You’ll find there are no twins

 

The area is: ‘The Ship Eater’

So dangerous it is

It’s famed as eel’s breeding grounds

Whose life is such a quiz

 

The dangers there are numerous

Strong currents, thick seaweed

In which, if caught, you’d sure as sure

Never.. to be… freed

 

Few ventured past in wooden barques

With masts tall as a tree

Where is this place? I hear you ask

The Great Sargasso Sea ……..
