Inktober 2022 Day 5 The Pet

I’ve been visiting the pet shop

(The assistant’s rather nice)

I’ve been looking for a brand new pet

(No more boring mice)

 

They had a special offer on

An ‘Easy Care For’ pet

The assistant told me what it’s called

I hope I don’t forget

 

It isn’t from this continent

And they only had one brood

This here is the last one

They said “she doesn’t need much food”

 

But she’s eating everything I’ve got

From steak to home cooked scouse

My cupboards are depleting

I’ve got nothing in the house

 

I think I may have impulse bought

Got carried right away

But I really couldn’t send her back

With me she’s going to stay

 

‘Cos I’ve fallen quite in love with her

She’s cuddly and she’s bright

And she stops me feeling lonely

And she keeps me warm at night

 

(What breed is she you ask? Well, she’s a …………..…Damn! I forgot…….)
