Wolverine - Highland Wildlife Park. (1 of 4)

Visit to Highland Wildlife Park. I'm in two minds about these kind of parks. They are, however, a vast improvement on the old zoo types. Wolverine - largest members of the weasel family, had a good size enclosure but did seem to perform stereotypic zoo behaviour of repetitive circling round. There appeared to be frequent eye contact from these, which was also a bit unsettling, tho apparently their eyesight is poor. According to National Geographic, these need a lot of room to roam and may travel 15 miles a day searching for food. However, much tho I felt sorry for these, more than the other animals, since they seemed so restless, I found them fascinating, having only previously seen them on TV. Sometimes my 300mm prime lens was too close and some of these images are perhaps too "in your face"!
