Joseph Nollekens (1737 - 1823) Castor and Pollux front (V&A 2007)
3,000 views! Thanks, art lovers: thovers.
Now 4,000! Kinda makes up for Flickr's designers going mad.
Castor and Pollux is a copy of an antique Roman statue. Apparently lots of sculptors made copies of it; this one is by Joseph Nollekens and is currently in the British Galleries in the V&A.
I would probably be lying if I said I didn't photograph this statue because of its apparent gay overtones.
