So, last night was pretty cool...
So, last night was pretty cool! We tried all kinds of food! And it was the perfect setting, because they had these permanent stalls for the vendors, and a lot of space for eaters to sit, etc! It was chilly, so they provided heat lamps & little blankets! So, one of the first things we got was from "The American South," (they had the food divided into geographic food regions). We got (top right start): Platter with Collard Greens from Minnie Bell's, Baked Beans from Zella's Soulful Kitchen, North Carolina Whole Hog Pork from Skylight Inn BBQ, & delicious Cheese Grits from @sugarfootgrits ! Comstock's "Hot Chicken" from Comstock Saloon (bot rt); @kortria scored a free slice of Sweet Potato Grits Pie (bot lft) from Sugarfoot Grits, by being a sweet talker & in the right place at the right time, because it wasn't even on the menu! Score! And, last, but not least, the Tennessee BBQ Pork (top lft) from Helen's BBQ! Wooo-eee! Boy howdy, that's a lot of food! But there were 5 of us. The grits were my fave cuz I love good grits! But everything was delicious! The chicken was nice & crispy & tasty!
