F Is For Falcon

It’s an American Kestrel, which is the smallest and most common falcon in North America. These birds of prey eat mostly insects and other invertebrates, as well as small rodents and birds. This one, a female, was spotted perched on the highest spot on a dead tree, and was likely scanning the area for its next meal.
