Three & Three, Iscorama anamorphic
A section of the front of the old Ramona Theater on South 9th street in Frederick, Oklahoma. This historical structure was built in 1929 in the Spanish Colonial style. We had finished a day of exploring the Wichita Mountains National Wildlife Refuge near Fort Sill, deciding to take a different route back to Newcastle, Texas. Taking route 62 west got us to route 183 south, eventually running into Frederick. We spent about a half hour driving around a few side streets and came across the Ramona Theater and some other interesting subjects. We got busy getting some pics of a number of "non-touristy" items when the facade of the old theater caught my eye. I took a few standard "whole building" shots, then grabbed a few "bits & pieces" pics. It being nearly 7pm and with Newcastle nearly a two hour drive southeast of Frederick, we left... hoping to arrive before dusk, when feral hogs and deer most often decide to "play chicken" with highway traffic. The only hog we encountered was just past Oklaunion Texas (Wilbarger County)... a weird piebald specimen that had "met his maker" a day or two earlier. He was a large boar, the car that hit it a small compact, judging by the portion of a front plastic bumper sharing the porker's roadside final resting place.
