Borromean Rectangles.
3 Rectangular Frames are assembled in the Borromean cofiguration, forming a hexagonal hole in the centre. [Star of David] The paper strips used for each Rectangular frame is 36cm x 4cm. The shorter side of the rectangular frame has been adjusted to a dimension [I think] so that there are no small triangular "holes". Although the 3 rectangular frames can be shifted and slide about, they hold themselves in this position reasonable well. With this basic design, it is possible to assemble elongated Hexagonal frames, Parallelograms and many other shapes...I will try them out later...
