Rectangles and Squares

2 rectangle frames are interwoven to form a cross. [red] The 2 frames are then secured by 3 squares frames of different sizes. The rectangle frame is from paper strips of 52cm x 4cm each. The smallest square frame is from 28cm x 4cm. The middle sized square frame is from 48cm x 4cm and the largest one from 56cm x 4cm.

The interweaving of the 4 square frames makes the model very stable. This model is very easy to make. All the clues are given in the dimension of the paper strip. It is also possible to make the model with white stripes, showing the reverse side of the paper but I did away with the white stripes, preferring to show only the colour side of the paper.
