It's nice to fly - Ucmak guzeldir

I had posted this image months ago while I was in Bahrain. It was early morning when I posted it and I was quite sleepy to write anything about it. The image was immediately flooded with praising comments and FAVs before I could explain how I obtained it. It was too late for any explanation. So I deleted this image and waited for a long while for an explanation.
This is how I did it:
One late afternoon sitting in our garden I shot the moon. And seconds later the bird was suddenly in my view. And hastily I captured the bird. Then I checked the relative positions of the moon and the bird as well as the colors of the sky in both images and realized that merging the two images would create a very nice image. So I merged them with PICASA and this image resulted. My objective was to show a photography trick. I didn't want to cheat anybody. Besides I am not that talented a photographer to fit the bird and the moon into a single frame. Without a prompt explanation, it was like cheating and I hate to be a cheater. So I removed the image.
Below you see the individual shots that I used to generate this one.

Bu resmi aylar once Bahreyn'de iken bir gun sabaha karsi flickr'a postalamistim. Resmin altina aciklama yazamadim cunku uykum vardi. Sonra da baktim ki bir suru yorum ve fav var. Resmi sildim ve aciklama yapmak icin uzun sure bekledim.
Resim aslinda iki resmin ust uste kaynastirilmasindan olusuyor. Bir gun ikindiden sonra bahcede otururken bir kac saniye aralikla bu iki resmi cektim. Ama kusla ay ayni kareye sigmadi (kusla ayi ayni kareye denk getirecek kadar yetenekli bir fotografci da degilim zaten.) Sonra baktim kusun ve ayin yeri, ve iki karede gogun rengi bende bu iki kareyi birlestirme fikrini hasil etti. Amacim bir fotograf hilesini gostermekti; ve PICASA ile iki resmi 'merge' ettim. Ama maalesef aciklama icin zamanlamam cok kotu idi. Sahtekar durumuna dusmemek icin resmi sildim. Daha once yorum yazan ve fav yapan arkadaslardan ozur dilerim.
