General Dynamics FB-111A "Aardvark"
The versatile "swing wing" F-111 entered the USAF inventory in 1967 and was retired in 1996. In all, 566 F-111s were built. The F-111's wings are straight for take-offs and landings, or slow speed flight. By sweeping the wings rearward it can exceed twice the speed of sound. Max Speed: 1,452 mph. Max Range: 2,971 miles.
