Three generations. March 2011

My grandparents were poor and lived most of their life in their small farm where I grow up until 5 years old.

We used to drink milk direct from the cow and make the own "requeijao" ( a kind of cheese), qualhada (similar to yogurt).

My mom is a single mother with one child, me. When I was 5 years old my mom went to Sao Paulo to try life there, but it was too cold for me, I was constantly sick and we went back to the farm in Bahia.

When I was 6 we went to live in a near by very small town so I could go to school.

I lived in this small town until I finish high school, than I moved to Salvador, the capital of Bahia, so I could go to college.

I become a Portuguese teacher and I taught portuguese in a Public High School for 6 years.

In 1998 I moved to California by myself and here I clean houses.

Every year I go to Brazil to see my mom and my grandmother.

My mom came once to the United States to vist in 2003, it was her first time in an airplane.

I'm a very simple person as my mom and my grandmother.
