Sialkot City Campus Lions Club - Supply of Tents Shelter, Quilts, Mattresses & Pillows for 115 Families & Food for 465 Families
Sialkot City Campus Lions Club's delegate visited D.I.Khan once again with heavy load of 2 trucks for flood relief peoples. Total 580 families got relief form our activity in which 115 shelter less families received Tents, Mattresses, Pillows & Food Items & rest of 465 families provided by food items. Consignment included the following items:
115 Waterproof Tents sized 10x10x7 with complete fixing & fitting kits.
115 Quilts
115 Mattress
115 Pillows
4100 Kg Flour
470 Kg Cooking Oil
820 Kg Sugar
300 Kg Rice
300 Kg Daal Chana
300 Kg Black Chana
20 Kg Tea
2100 Liter Drinking Water
Total worth of project was PKR 13,59,250.00 (US$ 15,991.17)
Club completed 2 projects same day in South & North of D.I.Khan. In the morning 1st base camp was established in Union Council Juma Sharif, 35 Km from D.I.Khan, where peoples from 4 more villages Rangpor Junobi, Sipra, Adil Sipra and Jhook Abdullah were present. In these villages we observed much poverty & lack of basic life needs as peoples have to travel 30-40 KM far to collect drinking water & mostly they are bound to drink dirty water from ponds. Our delegate witnessed many people on different palaces collecting ponds water for home use.
In the evening 2nd relief camp was installed in Village Mubarak Shah 22 Km from D.I.Khan where peoples from 3 more villages Gulama Wala, Sardara Wala and Mandhran Kalan were invited to collect the goods.
Sialkot City Campus Lions Club has made best efforts so far to help our brothers & sisters & our past and current projects are showing our determination & dedication towards the mission. Our efforts has been appreciated by Honour President of Lions Club International Lion Sid L. Scruggs III who sent a letter & his flag (Pennant) to Club President Lion M. Younis Rajput & appreciated our dedicated efforts towards the relief activities for flood victims in Pakistan.
