Miniature Horse 001

Miniature Horses were bread from Ponies and small thoroughbred horses. They have the characteristics of a horse more-so than a pony. They were developed as unique pets for the wealthy but were mostly used in the coal mines. They are often referred to as Pit Ponies. Their height ranges from 34"-38". This one I've photographed is now a family pet (She was rescued from a property where she had been ill-treated) she is living out her days on a hobby farm situated in North Queensland.
