Set of coral jewellery

Italian, Naples, about 1860

This 5 piece set, in its original case, is carved in 'angel's skin' or pale pink coral, much coveted at the time. The set has been in the de Beaumont family since the 19th century. Possibly it was a wedding gift from a tour to Italy and hardly worn: the delicate detail has survived intact.
