Predictions of Nature

Up until the colder months, these floating lily pads will serve as a resting spot or possible stepping stone for the animal life in the pond. Frogs and turtles will use these green disks for navigating the water until winter when the pond will begin to freeze. It is possible that the lily pads will not be able to survive icy and windy conditions leading the turtles and frogs to find new means of obtaining camouflage or a new spot to rest.
