Frog Orchid
Ten days ago I made a major diversion from my Friday Evening commute from Essex to Glos, to look for Musk Orchids and Frog Orchids at Noar Hill in Hampshire. I found plenty of Musk Orchids but no Frogs.
Yesterday we found a Frog Orchid and some Musk Orchids at a site only about 5 miles from my house.
This was at Swifts Hill in Gloucestershire in the beautiful Slad Valley made famous by Laurie Lee in 'Cider With Rosie'.
Sometimes what you are looking for is right there in front of you.
