Stormy Hawaiian Winter Sunset

Alone on Ala Moana Beach as a storm rolls in and the sun goes down. Everything was lit from the side and below, creating an ominous atmosphere where the normal relationship between light and dark was turned on its head. The raindrops began just moments after this, but I stuck around until the light was fully gone, braving the storm and reflecting on how fortunate I have been to be able to witness such remarkable moments in the natural world.
