Reduced - Woodton church Norfolk
East window - 1839 stained glass brought to Woodton by rector Frederick Lee in 1930s from Tenterden church Kent as a memorial to Rev Philip Ward a relative of the Nelson family. The Tenterden parishioners were apparently glad to get rid of it as after restoration it was discovered that the centre light showed the temptation of Jesus with a somewhat hideous devil. However on its arrival at Woodton the window was too wide and the devil was removed except for the tip of a scaly wing and green claw.
