Poster - Clark Fork River Market - Farmers Market

Missoula has long been known for it's farmer's market but when a second market opened, underneath the bridge, offering a wider array of goods, including meat, there was a need to get the word out. These posters went up and then t-shirts started appearing on backs all over town, and, finally, successive banners popped up on the actual bridge, greeting drivers and pedestrians as they passed above the market.

 

Today when someone is asked if they are going to the Saturday market, they instinctively ask, "which one?"
