Duke of Gloucester, 1986 (2)
A series of photos taken in the autumn of 1986 at Loughborough of no 71000 Duke of Gloucester.
This was after the restoration of the loco from scrapyard condition whilst being steamed to haul its first passenger train since withdrawal from BR, a special for those who had contributed to the loco's restoration. As I was a student in the area I bunked off with one of the college's Praktica 35mm SLRs and some Ilford 400.........
