Level Up
I won our club selection for the Toastmaster’s International Speech Contest! I’ll be going on to compete at the next level, the Area, next month.
My speech is titled: “Lessons from a Substitute Teacher.” It’s about the philosophical, leadership, and education insights I’ve had as a substitute that can be applied outside the classroom.
It felt very “meta” to be memorizing and practicing the speech during my lunches, recesses, and prep periods this week.
