40-52 out of the reeds

I had been planning on doing a photo of Bruno in the reeds this year, but I never anticipated it being like this. The plan was to go a few lots down at the cabin and get him in the water with the reeds. I'll save that one for another year.

The assignment in Studio 26 this fortnight is double exposure. Using one of the examples as inspiration, I went out photographing the fall colours in the rain. That included the bull rushes by a little pond in the park. I then cam home, put Bruno on a bench by the window to get a silhouette photo, watched a bit of a video about how to process a double exposure in photoshop, flipped the bull rushes photo upside down and started to play.

I had a hard time deciding between this version and the black and white picture, but in the end I went with the colour as it is a little more different for me, and I like how the colours work together. A very different shot for me (first time I've played with double exposure), but I like it. Bruno's only problem with it is that I didn't have him physically crashing about in the reeds by the pond in the rain.
