Sheep Swinden Langsett Peak District

Swinden comes from Swine Dean meaning a wooded area where pigs foraged for acorns. There were five farms in the area which all fell into decay. Swinden Farm was the last to be abandoned and was lived in until the 1930s.

Here are links to my photos of the barn, the only remaining farm building, which is located few metres to the left of the sheep photo.
