SIALKOT: - A view of the Govt. Girls Primary School Jangoora-Bajwat near Sialkot. Local influential had converted this school into a cattle shed, which still lying as an cattle shed for the last one decade. The school lacks boundary walls. There is no electricity, drinking water, toilet and furniture facility there. No classroom due to which the local girl students have refused to get education in this school. The building of this school was declared dangerous by the Sialkot buildings department several years ago. Local infleuntials started tying their cattle in this school building terming it the “proper use” of this government building. The school was located into electoral constituency NA 111 Sialkot-II of Federal Minister for Population Welfare Dr. Fardous Ashiq Awan and former speaker national assembly Chaudhary Ameer Hussain. President NGO Rose Human Rights Organization Sialkot Muhammad Ashfaq Nazar and Coordinator Miss Mehreen Shehzadi have expressed grave concern over the miserable condition of this school and alleged height of negligence of the concerned officials of Sialkot education department, in this regard, urging the Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif to take serious notice of this critical situation in the larger national interest…Dawn photo & text by Abid Mehdi.
