Another Borrowed Idea
I got the idea from Richard Kelly here. Besides the color, I placed the subject on a sheet of glass and didn't use a sweeping background. THe glass surface also added a reflection.
This doesn't look like a dark field shot, but the red background lighting is right out of Light Science and Magic. Without the back light behind the sheet, the red is so dark it is almost black. The front lights exist only to light the white background.

Lights were flagged prevent reflections in the subject.
Dual layer copy paper taped to the sheet to provide the white background for the glass.
There was a fair amount of clarity added in Lightroom to make the red and black pop
