"I understand!"

This young fox is really starting to freak me out!!!! He makes direct eye contact with me and he's as calm as a cucumber! I took these first couple of shots this a.m.

This is the 2nd day I've run into him with his mother. Yesterday they had another sibling with them....just slightly smaller than him. They were all playing out in the field, and Mom was sitting off to the side keeping watch..

In the comments is a picture of the mom...you can see the total distrust on her face.

In the 2nd shot in the comments she is retreating to the safety of the woods. The young one was totally aware of me, but didn't seem to be as disturbed as his mother was.He looked directly at me and actually took a few steps in my direction...then seemed to dismiss me as nothing to feel threatened about, and went back to sniffing around. He hung around for a few more minutes before disappearing in the direction his mother had gone.

I didn't see the other young one this a.m.

The 3rd and 4th shot in comments was the two kits playing out in the field last night.

I'm a little frustrated. I want to get closer for more detailed shots. They obviously are hanging out in the one corner of the field where there are woods on both sides, This is where I keep coming across them. The problem is that as soon as I step into the field......either from the path coming back from the soccer field, or coming into the field from the direction of my house....they will spot me. If I walk down closer to them, inside the tree line, they'll hear me coming a mile away. As soon as I enter the field and see them, I have to freeze, and pray they were preoccupied enough not to have initially noticed me......and then very slooooooowly raise the camera to my face! Hell! I'm even afraid to change settings.....lol!
