Peripheral-Artery-Disease

Peripheral Artery Disease is commonly associated with arteriosclerosis. This occurs when fatty materials called plaque accumulates on the wall of the arteries. It results to a narrower artery which becomes stiffer and dilated leading to complications whenever the need for greater blood flow is required by the body. When this happens, the leg muscles are forced to work harder in order for it to receive enough supply of blood and oxygen.
