Cobra Gold 2013 begins
Chiang Mai, Thailand – Representatives from participating nations come together to formally begin Exercise Cobra Gold 2013 on February 11, 2013. Representatives from Japan, Indonesia, Kingdom of Thailand, U.S., Singapore, Malaysia and the Republic of Korea perform a symbolic handshake to demonstrate the commitment to plan and conduct combined-joint operations, build relationships between partnering nations, and improve interoperability across the range of military operations. This year marks the 32st iteration of the Exercise Cobra Gold, which is an annual multi-national joint training exercise and humanitarian effort held throughout the Kingdom of Thailand.
