Millionaire's Row
One of many mansions on "Millionaire's Row"... the exclusive waterfront area in Acadia National Park, owned by an attorney who worked in Washington and New York City. This is his retirement home. He wanted it to "blend in with the surroundings" so he chose the slate-gray color. His reading room is in the top floor of the round tower. He told his architects that he required complete silence in the round tower. (Personally.... I would prefer to hear the sound of the ocean surf and the cry of the gulls!) He built it here looking out over the ocean so he would be inspired to write poetry. I hope he is having a nice life here.
